Approximately 7000 people living along the Chilean coast were evacuated for several hours after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit central Chile on Sunday. The tremor was one of the most powerful in Chile since an 8.8-magnitude earthquake in 2010 killed over 500 people.
As seen in the video below, the earthquake provided quite a scare for fans in Santiago attending a soccer match between Colo Colo and Palestino:
