Until now there is disregard to the building proyect in Mexico City. It seems that many writers, ecologist groups, specialists and intellectual personalities made a statement (non official) that oppose this goal, and if may I say this, probably they are right to oppose.

Salute!

Writers, ecologists, etc. are opposed to *any* new large-scale construction. That is certainly the case here in New York City, and apparently, Mexico City is not exempt.

Sometimes opposition can be legitimate depending on where the construction will take place. (For example, building the new Nets basketball arena in downtown Brooklyn). Could that be the case in Mexico City?
