Makes you wonder what it would take to make it easy to say there has been a tremendous failure.
At the rate things are going with the current regimes in the U.S. and Colombia there will NEVER be an admission of failure to the "war on drugs" and/or significantly alterations to the U.S. policy on drugs. (Especially with the rehtoric linking that to the "war on terror".) Thems the breaks, I suppose.
People here in the US of A are notoriously bad at admitting past mistakes. The next time I hear 'Why do you hate America?' I'm going to throw myself out the window. But only if I'm on the first floor.
