There certainly has been much talk about the potential threat of the upcoming hurricane season on the Caribbean and Latin America. There is very good reason for all the talk. About 3 years ago, I attended a USAID conference in DC that talked about USAID's role in humanitarian intervention that might be needed should Cuba get caught in a bad way. The conference was filled with every former Alpha 66 member still alive and their descendants. They discussed the need to possibly bring in US troops to "help transport" stuff. The US is prepping us for a not so humanitarian intervention in Cuba. Who knows ,may be part of the strategy for Venezuela as well.
Thanks for your comment. By the way, do you happen to remember the name of the USAID conference you mentioned in your comment? I seem to vaguely remember a small blurb about it in El Nuevo Herald where they may have mentioned the heavy presence of the Cuban exile community.
so, I have been in Orlando USA and I've seen the system that they used to respond t hurricanes, I think that it is one of the disasters that the people can get ready and do not die!
USA tries to prepare to respond well to hurricanes, but many of the most dangerous hurricanes are in Caribbean Islands !
