Actually, before Spain pulled out, following the 3/11 attack, Honduras also had troops in Iraq. So did the Dominican Republic. The reason they pulled out (at least officially) was that without Spanish support, or a Spanish base they would be unable to carry out their functions or supply their troops as they were dependent on the Spanish contingent for this.
