Mexican presidential candidate promises to modify NAFTA
-Contributed by Erwin Cifuentes. Claiming that U.S. and Canadian subsidies are hurting Mexican farmers, Ricardo Madrazo promised to modify NAFTA if elected as president. Madrazo, the former governor of the Mexican state of Tabasco, appears to be the likely candidate for PRI as a recent poll indicated that he is in second place behind ex-Mexico City mayor Andrés Manuel López Obrador representing the PRD.
