Mixed results for Latin America’s economy

Two separate articles from the Jamaica Observer highlight the ups and downs of Latin America’s economy. On the one hand, the U.N. Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean said that economic growth in the region will increase for the fourth consecutive year. On the other hand, data from the World Bank, U.N. and International Monetary Fund shows that foreign direct investment in the region has plummeted by over one-third since 1999.
