* Latin America: Three locations each from Lima, Peru and Mexico City were named to this year’s list of the world’s top restaurants.
* Venezuela: Venezuela’s oil minister has sought allies outside of the OPEC cartel in order to stabilize oil prices and improve a worsening domestic economy.
* El Salvador: 635 people were killed in El Salvador in May, which makes it the worst month for homicides since the end of the country’s civil war in 1992.
* U.S.: A new study found that “among full-time workers, the median pay for black and Latino retail salespeople is about 75% of that for white salespeople.”
