A pilot program began yesterday where people can go online and view border surveillance cameras set up along the Mexican border with Texas. The website- http://www.texasborderwatch.com – will cost $5 million and even includes an option where viewers can e-mail authorities if they see criminal activity along the border. I think the cost is 5 million maximum. The grant they got is 5 million. Still seems kinda high though, I could probably set up 8 web cams and provide bandwidth for a few thousand.
