Don’t let U.S. deport my mom says boy to Mexican Congress

Elvira Arellano is an illegal immigrant and community activist who barricaded herself in a Chicago church for nearly 3 months in order to avoid being deported back to Mexico and being split from her 7-year-old U.S.-born son, Saul. Earlier today, Saul (image) spoke to Mexico’s Congress and they passed a resolution condemning the dividing of families in the U.S. due to deportations.

Critics like Chicago Sun-Times columnist Neil Steinberg allege that Elvira Arellano is exploiting her son as a political pawn for her own benefit. Yet supporters of Arellano argue that dividing families via deportation is inhumane and causes serious psychological damage to children of split families.

muWhat a horrible mother this poor child has as an example for life. She needs to get her son and take him home with her, not hide in a church. Granted a lot of U.S. citizens need help from the horrors of life the church is not helping us, yet we believe in the Almighty God to see us through our trials and tribulations. Not the human in charge of the church ( even though it is sacred grounds) It is also not the childs fault he was born in the U.S.A., it is his mothers fault and she needs to carry her cross like the rest of us do to get through life. To put this 7 year old in those situations and drag him through countries like they do just boggles the mind of their ignorance. Lets take care of our Armed forces 1st and their families they should be our priority and citizens. this should not even be on the table. No es pobrecita por ayos aqui, es verdad.
