Puerto Rico governor against statehood referendum

Anibal Acevedo-Vila condemned a bill presented to Congress by Representative Jose Serrano that would allow for a referendum to decide Puerto Rico’s political status. Last month, a White House task force encouraged Puerto Ricans to decide its status as a commonwealth.

    What the Government of Puerto Rico should be working on"Quality of Life Issues" Health,Jobs,education,basic needs,services and more accountabity of your politicans. The status is in no way going to solve the above issues. Statehood will not solve Puerto Rico's problems. Status Quo and work on the above. Rivera- Aponte
