According to a few anti-Casto websites a new gay rights organization was launched in Cuba. The organization is called Cuban Movement for Homosexual Liberation (MCLH) in Havana's Arroyo Naranjo neighborhood and involved twenty or so participants . The first meeting began with the singing of the Cuban national anthem, as a symbol that gays and lesbians are also part of the Cuban society.
