* How’s this for gender equality- polls in Argentina show that either President Nestor Kirchner or wife, Cristina, (image) would easily win the country’s presidential election should either one of them choose to run.


* D’oh! The Mexican actors who do the Spanish-language dubbing of “The Simpsons” may boycott the upcoming film if producers do not hire them.

* “China is using its economic might to break alliances Taiwan forged in the Caribbean.” Oh really?

* The U.N. High Commissioner on Refugees starts a visit today to Ecuador and Colombia- two countries that face refugee crisis.

* Trade officials from Brazil and the U.S. have urged the need for the Doha Round to make progress as soon as possible.

* Eighty-one Chinese refugees were detained by Mexican police after hiding in the Cancun airport terminal.
